5 Sept First full day aboard

Good sleep in this morning. Because we don’t have a window in our cabins they are dark with the lights out, so it is hard to tell when it is light.
Reminder in the lift in case you forget what day it is

Dressed lightly first because it was so warm yesterday. Enjoyed a light breakfast up in the Lido, but was cold, so went and put warmer clothes on before going for a walk around the Promenade deck,

Where it was quite cold and windy

Bumped into Lynne who was sitting up on deck.

Lynne joined us on an exploration of areas on the ship that we hadn’t seen yet.

This statue up in the children’s area spooked us!!
Found the Fitness Centre, and the Greenhouse Spa etc

Love these signs on the carpet along the entrances to the corridors

There was a Wildlife spotting session at 11:45 at the Crows Nest where we eventually caught up with Jim and Helen  who had really slept in and even almost missed breakfast.
We saw whales and Orcas but werent able to get decent  photos of them.

Lunch at the Lido  again, then Bill and Jim went down for their Pre booked Alaskan Beer Tasting session. Not very well run.

There were 6 beers to try but the explanation and pouring of them was not done in an organised way

Bills favourite was the Husky.
Jim left straight away at the end as he wanted to attend the Bush Pilots presentation that Helen and Lynne also went to.
Lynne and Linda then attended a talk about the Allen family and their business and the area where they come from

All 5 of us attended the Alaskan Wildlife talk given by the resident nature expert Ross xxxxx
We again adjourned to Lynne’s cabin for bubbles before dinner
Dinner up on deck 8 at the Lido again, where we sat by the window. We were commenting on logs and kelp floating by

when we spotted whales. So we put warmer clothes on and went out onto the deck where we saw lots of whales , again no good photos

But evidence

Back in our room we found a different interesting folded towel on the bed
