Nothing planned for today so a leisurely morning at home catching up with a few things such as reconciling accounts, washing etc.
A wet miserable day today too, so none of us were keen to rush out.
We all headed out eventually. Jim, Helen and Lynne caught the train into Canada Place first,
Bill and Linda walked down a bit later, checking out the Renfrew Ravine Park on the way to the station.
Since it was still raining we decided to ride the trains. The trains run very frequently so we didn’t wait too long for a train to come. Bought an all day Compass pass.
We ended up deciding to hop off the train at the Science World to check it out. Unfortunately the Centre was closed but there was plenty outside to look at.
Stood and watched this cleverTower of Bauble
This sculpture was made totally out of scrap material
There was a whole section outside devoted to the environment
After exploring right around the outside of the Science Centre building we hopped back on the train again and carried on to the Chinatown stop.
Went through the International Village first
Then Chinatown
Back on the train after that to Waterford where we caught the Sea Bus across to North Vancouver. Couldn’t see much on the way over.
Went into the market at Lonsdale
Whilst there we read the message in our “Canada Group “ messenging that the others were meeting up with Miki and her brother Jeff and sister Andrea at the bar downstairs at Steamworks, so we headed back across on the Sea Bus
Drinks and dinner at Steamworks
Still raining when we came out to catch the train home. Had to wait quite a while at the station as there was a train stuck at Granville ‘cos the doors wouldn’t close!!! The announcement said they were manually removing it from the line.
We still arrived home in reasonable time
